After moving back to the US in 2010, Stephanie worked as a teacher’s aide in a bilingual Spanish-English preschool and volunteered as both a GED and an English as a Second language (ESL) tutor. She obtained a MA in Teaching English as a Second Language in 2016, completing a portion of her teaching practicum in the DU 8th grade classroom.
Outside of the classroom, Stephanie enjoys reading, hiking, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. In her mind there is nothing better than sharing a meal with those she loves, especially her husband (Nathan) and two daughters (Elena and Annika).
